Fort Works Art and its nonprofit arm Gallery of Dreams have announced an open call for the America 250 City Art Poster Project, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The project is a nationwide initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts and the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM), part of the celebration commemorating the official separation from Great Britain of the colonies that would become the United States of America, on July 4, 1776.
All posters must remain nonpartisan and do not include political messages or inflammatory language. The final posters should commemorate the 250th anniversary with imagery that conveys civic pride, historical connection, and optimism for the next 250 years. Each poster should incorporate the name of the city and "America 250" in the design. File upload should be in PDF format at 100% scale. Minimum resolution should be 300 DPI at 100% scale. All posters submitted should be suitable to print as is. USCM is not responsible for any errors in content or resolution quality. Clor Mode should be CMYK (4-color-process). Covert all RGB images and spot colors to CMYK. Artwork size should be 24 x 32 inches, with a blank, 1/4 inch bleed on each side for potential display. To prevent cropping, your safe area should be 22 x 30 inches. Keep all important information within the safe area.
