Pamala Davis Ausdemore is a Texas-based artist whose work centers around textured, dimensional florals created with thick acrylic paint. With a background in art education, she’s always been drawn to hands-on, exploratory processes and finding new ways to bring ideas to life. Inspired by nature, color, and everyday moments, her work focuses on building layers, both visually and physically. Using piping techniques, she creates sculptural blooms that add depth and movement to each piece. She’s especially drawn to the balance between soft and bold elements, creating work that feels both detailed and organic, and invites viewers to slow down and take a closer look.

Artist Statement

My work explores the beauty and depth of florals through heavy texture and dynamic movement. Using piping tips and palette knives, I sculpt thick layers of paint into lush, dimensional bouquets that invite both visual and tactile engagement. Each petal and leaf is intentionally formed, capturing the organic elegance and energy of nature. I am drawn to the interplay of color, light, and texture, allowing my process to remain expressive and intuitive. Through this approach, I aim to create work that celebrates the fleeting beauty of blooms while evoking emotion and connection.
