Visit Texas Academy of Figurative Art on Gallery Night for our Spring Salon, an exhibition celebrating the Academy’s traditional, atelier based approach to drawing and painting. This show features contemporary realist works by students and faculty, including cast drawings, Old Master copies, portraits, figurative works, still lifes, and landscapes. Rooted in centuries old academic methods, the Spring Salon offers an opportunity to see classical training come alive, where disciplined craftsmanship, careful observation, and timeless principles guide every piece of work. TAFA is the only fine art academy in Texas offering a full time, immersive curriculum dedicated to contemporary realism and classical craftsmanship. Enjoy wine and light bites while you experience our philosophy in practice and see how rigorous training shapes today’s realist artists.
This open call is for anyone- whether you're a practicing artist, a former art teacher, a collector, or someone with artwork you're ready to pass along. The goal is simple: make art accessible, support local creativity, and give every piece a chance to find a new home.
