Artist Statement
Music has always been more than performance for me, it is a form of storytelling, healing, and connection. As a vocalist rooted in classical training and deeply inspired by jazz, spirituals, and soul, my work lives at the intersection of tradition and personal expression. Each song I sing carries the voices of those who came before me while creating space for new stories to be told.
My career has taken me across stages in the United States, Europe, Africa, and South Korea, but the heart of my artistry remains the same wherever I perform: to communicate truth, beauty, and hope through music. Whether in a concert hall, a church, a classroom, or a small community gathering, I believe music has the power to meet people exactly where they are and remind them of who they are.
Through my performances, recordings, and educational work, I aim to honor the cultural roots of the music I love while inviting audiences into an experience that feels both intimate and expansive. I am especially passionate about creating spaces where young people, families, and underserved communities can see themselves reflected in the arts.
Ultimately, my work is about voice: finding it, honoring it, and sharing it. I believe every person carries a song within them, and my purpose as an artist is to sing mine in a way that encourages others to sing theirs.
