I’ve been practicing pointed pen calligraphy for over 10 years after first picking up a calligraphy pen when Hobby Lobby opened in my hometown. I was immediately drawn to the artistry of handwritten script and fascinated by historical documents like the Declaration of Independence and the quills used to write them. What started as curiosity quickly became a creative outlet and passion. About six years ago, I began exploring line drawings as a way to try something new and instantly fell in love with the simplicity and emotion they could capture. I especially enjoy creating pet portraits and human illustrations, focusing on expressive line work that highlights personality, movement, and connection. I love the feeling of stepping into a creative space where time seems to stop, and creating has become something deeply personal and meaningful to me. I feel closest to my Creator, God, when I am creating, because I truly believe He created me to create. Through my work, I hope to make art that feels personal, timeless, and full of heart.
