Raised in San Angelo, Texas LaShaunn Bold is a self-taught creative with an eye for nature's beauty. She began exploring her passion for painting in her 20's. Early abstracts depict young angst and exploration using only newsprint and acrylic in the 1990's. She was married and started a family in 1998. It wasn't until her husband surprised her with a shiny new easel in December, 2022, that the passion was reignited. Between 1998 and 2022, LaShaunn Bold raised 3 sons, advocated for victims of child abuse and domestic violence. She's been a Social Worker since 1990 and is currently employed full-time as faculty at the University of Texas Arlington. LaShaunn Bold has a private practice serving children and families in Arlington. All of these life experiences provide the inspiration for the colorful creations in her paintings. LaShaunn sees beauty first and brings out the bold brightness, whether it's a landscape, a fresh bouquet, or a reflective human exchange. She adds whimsy to the daily grind. You should see her wall of water faucet paintings that pour into her guest bath. LaShaunn wants people to take a second look and to longingly explore her creations.
