I grew up in central Kansas graduating high school in 1985. I found my way to Texas in 1987 trying to "make it big" in the pizza business. I decided that wasn't for me in a relatively short time frame and decided to take classes in theater at TCJC with the goal of getting into the entertainment business. Before I was half done with any degree plan, I found myself working so much as a stagehand that my grade point average was slipping so stopped taking classes and kept following my dreams that were slowly coming true. I have worked my entire adult life as a lighting guy. Starting in the early '90's in the entertainment industry doing stage lighting I also tested the waters in entertainment lasers, landscape lighting, and large-scale Christmas lighting. Having been freelance since August of 1993 I had some time on my hands to experiment with different types of projects, and different forms of expressing myself in a verity of artistic ways. I found glass in my mid-40's and that has been an incredible addition to this journey. I currently live in Arlington and work out of a space in Ft Worth. I still do a verity of lighting including stage lighting, landscape lighting, and Christmas Lights. I also make one-of-a-kind glass trophies and awards, I make blown glass light fixtures, kiln carved glass light boxes, glass vessels, and mixed media wall art. I live in the DFW area, but I am a citizen of the earth, and I am at home wherever I find myself on any given day.
