About

My father taught me to use tools. We live in an historic area so replacement doors and windows must be historically correct. This means made from wood. My husband made replacement doors and windows for our home. He also has made them for our neighbors. I thought his scrap wood took up to much storage space. He said "you cannot throw away good wood." I decided I would see what I could make from his leftover wood. We already had the necessary tools. Tools do not intimidate me. This led to me purchasing better wood and selling in craft shows. I enjoy the challenge of putting what I see in a picture into wood. We both enjoy the craft shows. We enjoy meeting and visiting with people.

Artist Statement

I make small household items from wood. I will attempt new items and ideas but mainly make cutting boards and coasters. My items are all food safe. I take pride in my work and do the extra effort to produce a quality product. My best reward is having a previous customer tell me how long they have used a cutting board and "it still looks like new".
