About

Chelsea Bible is a sustainable textile artist from Grand Prairie TX. She first learned how to sew in high school and briefly studied Fashion Design and Fashion marketing at Dallas’s El Centro Community College. She is a mother to two beautiful children. Since 2022 she has decided to fully commit to bring an artist full time. Her inspiration comes from her everyday life and wanting to share her unique twisted mind with her audience. She prides herself in handcrafting all of her pieces ensuring that they are ALL one of ones. She had been designing furniture and clothes since she was a kid. She is currently on a journey of self-discovery and attempting to transform her work beyond what she has currently done.

Artist Statement

I live to create. Art is my soul purpose for existing. My work is my way of expressing myself without having to speak. I strive to make the madness in my mind beautiful. I am all about turning my feelings in to positive, colorful pieces that everyone can enjoy. When it comes to my work I am not limited to one medium. Sustainability is embedded in my core, so I will use just about anything in the textile realm. Since I was as kid I have always taken “junk” and turned it into my treasure. I had no choice. Growing up we didn’t have much so God gave me the ability to be creative and I ran with it. My biggest inspiration is myself. I think my story is worth telling, and what better author is there other than me? I am heavily influenced by my favorite artists Warhol and Basquiat. The vibrancy and rebel spirit of their work describes me at my core so it really was a no brainer. Like in my Hella Faces collection, I perfectly convey how I feel about everything going on in my world. My mouth may not say it but my face sure will. I am not the most vocal, but I sure do observe. Creatively expressing my observations my foundation. All I ever wanted to do was create. All I have ever known was sewing and painting. I was silenced so young, which is why my art is so loud and expressive. My inner child is the force behind my magic and she always reminds me that this is only the beginning.
