About

My name is Christian Gonzales! I am 29 years old currently living in Fort Worth, Texas. When I was a child, I had a love for drawing and painting. I was never really good at communicating my feelings, so I found that drawing helped me express myself in a multitude of ways. In Junior High and High School, I found myself consumed in my studies and lost my drive to draw on a regular basis, I still found creativity in other outlets such as writing and music, but I did not feel as satisfied as I did when I was drawing. in 2025, a friend of mine recognized my creative spark and motivated me to start drawing again and enter my works in art festivals, it reignited my love for drawing and I have been drawing since. Currently, I am pursuing a career in tattooing and am studying the many styles in the industry.

Artist Statement

I explore the tension between outward appearance and inner reality through ink and marker illustrations on cold press and stock card paper, using find point pens, copic markers, and watercolor accents to create portraits that double as psychological mirrors. Six central characters hinting at grief, guilt, and hidden motives, while surrounding drawings turn inward to depict abstract symbols of mental health—melting structures, haunting embraces, and surreal forms that externalize isolation, imbalance, and self‑perception. Interwoven with these darker themes are vibrant American Traditional tattoo flash sheets, transforming pain into ritualized, public storytelling through bold color and iconic imagery. Together, these works form a visual dialogue between mystery and mental struggle, where fine lines and bleeding markers trace the secrets, tensions, and emotional fractures that shape the human experience.
