The Fort Worth After School Music Academy (FWASMA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives through the transformative power of music by providing affordable, high-quality music education and performance opportunities for students from all backgrounds throughout Fort Worth. Rooted in the historic legacy of the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir, FWASMA offers vocal and instrumental instruction, private lessons, ensembles, summer programs, and mentorship opportunities designed to help students discover their voice, develop confidence, and achieve excellence both on and off the stage. FWASMA’s mission is to build a vibrant, inclusive community where every student—regardless of financial circumstance or experience level—has access to exceptional music education and artistic growth opportunities.
