Artist Statement
I create curry and costume work as a form of living mythology. From a place where structure becomes storytelling in the body becomes a canvas for imagination. Through Faerystar Designs, my practice has blended historical technique with fantasy driven aesthetics. I like to honor the lineage of traditional course making while expanding into new emotional and narrative spaces.
Essential part of my creative process is ice dying, a slow chemical method that allows color to bloom organically across fabric. As the ice melt and the pigments fracture, pool and migrate in ways that cannot be controlled. The collaboration between intention and chance. This technique creates ethereal gradient, celestial textures, and watercolor like patterns that become emotional foundations for many of my pieces. I am dying, allows me to infuse each garment with a sense of wonder and unpredictability, echoing the natural magic that inspires my work.
