I got into this because my mom was a into beading. When she passed I was left with all of it and frankly I didn't know what to do with it. Almost a year after her passing my granddaughter was born. Last year for Christmas she wanted jewelry and since I had all this stuff I decided to learn how to make bracelets...its been extremely rewarding helping and watching her make a bracelet for herself at 4 years old. However, one of the things I discovered was finding bracelets in my size was very hard as my wrist is 8 1/4". The best I could find commercially was typically a 7 1/2" or smaller and even with stretch string it still showed gaps. I either had to pay someone to custom make it or do it myself. So, I started designing and making them for myself, my family and friends. Then my son took some to his yoga studio and the feedback I got encouraged me to start selling them. I like to use natural stone/crystal beads and I'm starting to specialize in Seven Chakra and Chinese Wealth and Good Fortune Bracelets but I also make a wide variety of others. So far this has been a fun journey and a neat way for me to connect with my granddaughter and I'm looking forward to what the future holds.
