Igimèjí is a alt-R&B band based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Formed in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2017, Igimèjí started as a duo with Oladipo Oyediran (guitar,vocals) and Kayla Scales (keyboard,vocals). When they returned to the United States, they continued their performance career, filled out their band by adding Jelen Farrow (drums) and Aaron Payton (bass) as well as recorded their first single, Magic. In 2021, they released their first EP, Two Trees, which was followed by Crazy(for you) their highest streamed single to date. Their music can be heard on KXT 91.7, KTCU, KUZU 92.9, and KNON 89.3. Currently, the band is promoting their debut album, It’s Not A Race, which is available on all streaming platforms, and is expected to continue touring the United States with their newest band member, Rafael Powell II (saxophone,woodwind)
