About

Amanda Bell is an artist, educator, and counseling professional whose work is deeply rooted in creativity, healing, and human connection. Her artistic journey began in childhood when her mother taught her how to make beaded jewelry, sparking a lifelong passion for creating with her hands and heart. Over the years, Amanda has explored a variety of artistic mediums, including beading, clay, wire work, collage, and photography, using art as both a form of self-expression and a pathway toward healing through life’s challenges. With a background in education and counseling, Amanda believes that creativity has the power to support emotional growth, resilience, and transformation. Her experiences working with children, families, and individuals have shaped her understanding of how art can provide comfort, connection, and a safe space for reflection. She views creating as more than making something beautiful—it is a process of storytelling, healing, and rediscovering oneself. Amanda also finds inspiration and peace through gardening, where nurturing plants mirrors her belief in growth, patience, and healing. Her love of nature often influences her creative process and reminds her of the beauty found in slow, intentional care. Whether working with soil, flowers, or artistic materials, she is drawn to the idea that growth often comes quietly and over time. Amanda’s work is inspired by authenticity, emotion, and the beauty that can emerge from difficult experiences. Alongside her husband, who is also a painter and creator, she embraces a life centered around art and imagination. Together they live in the Benbrook area with their three beloved dog babies, continuing to build a creative and meaningful life rooted in compassion, growth, and expression.

Artist Statement

My art is rooted in the belief that creating can be a form of healing. Through mediums such as beading, clay, wire work, collage, and photography, I explore themes of resilience, growth, emotion, and connection. Art has been part of my life since childhood, beginning with learning how to make beaded jewelry alongside my mother, and it has continued to evolve into a deeply personal and therapeutic practice. With backgrounds in education and counseling, I am drawn to the ways creativity allows people to process experiences that words cannot always fully express. I see art as both reflection and release—a space where imperfections are welcomed and transformation can occur naturally. Many of my pieces are inspired by life’s unexpected hardships, personal growth, relationships, and the beauty found in rebuilding. Nature and gardening also influence my creative process. Caring for plants reminds me that healing and growth take patience, nurturing, and time. This perspective often carries into my artwork through texture, layered materials, organic forms, and themes of renewal. Ultimately, my goal is to create work that feels honest, comforting, and deeply human. I hope my art encourages others to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and recognize that growth and healing can emerge even from difficult seasons of life.
