About

Hailing from granite mountains, but learning the way of clay and long sweet summer, Kjerstin is a poet, quilter and mother. She has participated in Fort Worth's Arts Goggle for three years running, and has sold works through various other outlets.

Artist Statement

I create in fabric because I deal in composition and fabric comes packed with the textures of stories, associations, sense memory. My work specializes in startling participants into meaning-making through visual puns, absurdity, achingly sweet nostalgia and an occasional acid edge of cultural criticism.
