I am an artists from Fort Worth. I create wonderfully cool and quirky designs from many types of wood such as maple, birds eye, walnut, and flame box elder. My work includes a variety of sun dial designs, hurdy gurdys, one of a kind Christmas ornaments, vases, as well as many other unique objects. I use modern and antiquated technologies ranging from lasers to hand chisels to create the designs. Wood has been the plastic of the world since ancient times. Wood, natural and renewable, has distinct beauties and technical properties that make it a beautiful source of visual delights. Each piece of wood has its own personality and distinct characteristics. Years and years of solar energy stored within the matrix of cellulose in lignin waiting to be revealed. I strive to present the nature of the wood.
