Artist Statement
My work explores nostalgia, character design, and the reinvention of crochet as a contemporary art form. Working primarily in amigurumi, I create playful, color-forward pieces that spark familiarity and joy while challenging traditional expectations of fiber art.
As a crochet pattern designer and market vendor, I balance artistic expression with thoughtful construction and functionality. Each piece is designed not only to be visually engaging, but to be accessible, reproducible, and meaningful beyond the making process.
As a male fiber artist, I’m also interested in expanding who feels represented in this space. Through bold design and intentional craftsmanship, my goal is to show that crochet can be modern, expressive, and economically empowering.
