Paul Wolff started his artistic journey way back in 1972 because he was a nuisance. His preschool teacher was concerned he was going to wake the other children from their naps, as he was always restless during naptime. She set him at a little table with crayons and manilla paper and told him to "shut up." Instead of a one-time occurrence, this became the daily routine. Thus, his artistic endeavors were encouraged out of the necessity for peace and quiet.
As years went by Paul Wolff continued to show signs of artistic talent and was always doodling in class when he should have been learning quadratic formulas and Ohm's Law. He was too much of a bonehead for left side of the brain analytical thought and found comfort in the creative right side. After winning the senior portfolio contest for the Fort Worth Independent School District in 1986, he got a small scholarship.
Paul Wolff earned his BFA at Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990 with major emphasis in Advertising Design, and minor emphasis in Drawing. The art professors and fellow students shared a comradery and encouraged each other to be the best artist they could be. Paul would never go into the world of advertising design.
After college, did not work in his chosen field. It would be decades before he dived back into creating art. In 2014 he left a job to work full time creatively in his home studio. From there he created paintings, drawings, made prints, entered shows. Then 5 months later he took another job for a regular paycheck.
Today, Paul Wolff continues to work the "day job" as he creates art and does art shows. The newest creative endeavor is he is also a published author. In November of 2025 his debut epic fantasy novel, "Devils & Wizards" was released. More in the series is being written at this time.
