About

Born in Mexico City, raised in Chicago, and currently based in Arlington, my artistic journey is shaped by the connection between art and imagination. Working primarily with acrylic and oil paints, I create expressive pieces that explore themes of identity, emotion, fantasy, and human connection. Inspired by storytelling, symbolism, and the beauty found in everyday life, my work focuses on capturing emotion and the complexity of human experience through color, texture, and movement. I aim to create paintings that invite viewers to connect with the work in their own personal way, encouraging reflection, curiosity, and emotional connection. My passion for art began at a young age while watching my parents draw and continued to grow through my studies in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Art. As both an artist and educator, I value creativity as a powerful form of expression and communication. Today, I continue developing collections that reflect personal growth, emotion, and the evolving nature of human experience. Through painting, I hope to inspire reflection, joy, and a deeper appreciation for creativity and self-expression.

Artist Statement

My work explores emotion, identity, imagination, and human connection through expressive imagery, symbolism, and color. Working primarily with acrylic and oil paints, I create pieces that blend reality with fantasy, allowing emotion and storytelling to guide the creative process. I am drawn to the way art can communicate feelings and experiences that are difficult to express through words alone. Many of my paintings reflect themes of individuality, transformation, freedom, vulnerability, and self-discovery. Through texture, movement, and layered imagery, I aim to create work that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and form their own interpretations and emotional connections. Some pieces are inspired by personal emotions and observations, while others emerge from imagination and symbolic storytelling. I enjoy creating worlds, characters, and visual metaphors that blur the line between reality and fantasy. Rather than providing direct answers, my goal is to leave space for curiosity, emotion, and personal meaning. As both an artist and educator, I believe creativity is an essential form of expression and connection. Through my work, I hope to inspire reflection, imagination, and a deeper appreciation for the emotional and transformative power of art.
