About

Stephanie Luker (she/her) is a Fort Worth based maker. A lifelong artist, she has been painting, drawing, sculpting and designing since she was a young child. She was active in the UTA BFA Glass program from 2010-2014 and she went on to graduate from Texas Wesleyan University in 2016. Currently, Stephanie designs and crafts funky accessories under the shop name Bramble Bound. She is also working on hand-painting the illustrations for her first children's book and is looking forward to incorporating more traditional art mediums into her other work.

Artist Statement

Bramble Bound was created in 2022 as a way created to connect with others through a love of funky accessories and groan-worthy puns. Each design starts with a hand-drawn sketch inspired by day-to-day objects, mystery, mythology, and nature. The sketch is redrawn as a digital cut file, and the individual pieces are cut from a mix of carefully chosen materials. The pieces are then hand painted and assembled into earrings for pierced, nonpierced, stretched ears; pins; and bolo ties.
