About

My work explores quiet, contemplative moments drawn from both observation and imagination. Whether painting a figure, a flower, or a distant horizon, I am less interested in strict representation and more focused on mood, atmosphere, and emotional presence. Each subject becomes a way to study light, color, and the subtle tension between stillness and movement. I’m drawn to forms that feel familiar yet slightly removed from a specific time or place. Portraits become reflections of interior life rather than likeness alone. Florals are less about botanical accuracy and more about fragility, rhythm, and the passing nature of beauty. Across subjects, I aim to create spaces that feel calm, reflective, and quietly luminous. My process is intuitive and layered. I build surfaces gradually, allowing color, texture, and value to guide the direction of the painting. Rather than working from a strict formula, I respond to what emerges on the canvas, letting each piece find its own balance between structure and softness. Ultimately, my paintings are invitations to slow down and look closely. In everyday subjects—faces, petals, sky, or water—I search for moments of quiet significance. Through light, color, and atmosphere, I hope to create work that feels both intimate and expansive, offering viewers a place to pause and reflect.
