About

I am a self taught photographer and have been making photos for about 13 years now. When I was in the fifth grade, before I even knew what the future held for me, I asked my mother to turn a walk in closet into a dark room for me. I grew up in Ohio where I spent time my photographing icicles during harsh winters and the beaches of Lake Erie during the summer. I now reside in Fort Worth with my wife and our three dogs, Nola, Sadie, and Nutmeg. Most of my photography nowadays is focused on portraiture such as engagements, graduations, and headshots, but I will always have a lot for urban photography, street photography, and anything creative or editorial. In my free I enjoy getting lost in a good book or listening to music on vinyl.

Artist Statement

I create images that invoke real and raw emotions to the viewer. I try to be a visual storyteller - the viewer might not have been next to me the moment I made a photo, but when they look at it I want them to feel like they've stepped into the exact moment I made it and feel the same emotions I felt in that moment. I like to create photography that creates a connection between me as the photographer, the subject, and the viewer. My work focuses on capturing candid moments to tell every day stories, or big life moments. I'm here to capture the mundane, and the exciting; life is all about the ups and downs and I am constantly trying to capture both of those in my works.
