I create handmade fabric bears and dolls that remind me of my childhood. My journey started with a bear that my parents gave me for Christmas. His name was Rogelio, just like my dad. We went on many adventures and got into a lot of mischief. After my dad passed away, I wanted to share that magic with the world; a constant, loyal companion that sparked curiosity and imagination. Since 2018, I have included a little piece of the original bear, my way of passing that on.

Artist Statement

I make handmade fabric bears and dolls that are meant to feel comforting, nostalgic, and full of personality. I want my work to feel familiar — like something treasured, comforting, or passed down over time. Each bear and doll develops its own character as I make it, and I enjoy letting that happen naturally instead of aiming for perfection. My goal is to create bears and dolls that people connect with emotionally — pieces that feel warm, gentle, and made to be loved for years.
