Cydni Lawson Morris Memorial Scholarship The Cydni Lawson Morris Memorial Scholarship is currently a $500 scholarship. This scholarship recognizes young people from the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area who are changemakers in their schools or community. DFW students in performing and visual arts and related technical fields are encouraged to apply. One or more scholarships will be awarded each year to a Dallas-Fort Worth (Texas) graduating high school senior and/or continuing college or vocational student. Students must pursue a degree or certificate from a private or non-profit public, technical-vocational institution, including a community college. Priority will be given to a Dallas-Fort Worth first-generation student from a racial/ethnic minority background who demonstrates financial need; however, we invite all who qualify to apply. This scholarship is open to students graduating in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area or residents of DFW only. The application opens on February 2, 2026, and closes on May 30, 2026. Submissions must be received by May 30, 2026 at 6:00pm CST. The chosen recipient will be notified by June 30, 2026.
