Pam Powell

I have always been drawn to photography. I was the kid asking for the camera so I could take pictures everywhere we went. I couldn't wait to get the pictures back after dropping off the roll of film.  Because of this love, I decided to pursue photography as a career. I have a BFA in Photography from Sam Houston State University.   I am captivated by the natural world and to photograph it is for me a way to capture how things should be.  I am often found hiking with my camera, capturing the details of the quiet scenes.  Broken and abandoned things also intrigue me and often are found in my images.  I use both film and digital formats to capture the world around me.
