Howdy, hi, and hello! I think it’s finally time to do a little recap and introduction. If you are new here, I am so thankful you found my work. If you’ve been following along for a while, I am equally grateful you’ve stuck around for the journey. My name is Rachel, I am living a dream getting to raise my little boys, figure out how to tend to VERY small, seasonal gardens and laundry and marriage, maintain a faith that has been so integral to this creative lifestyle I have found myself in, and share the blips and spontaneous moments along the way. The last 10 years have been marked by so much prayer, so much change, and so much growth I really cannot even begin to fathom the intricate details that have led to where I am, but what I do know, is that I am beyond thankful for the support, community, and kindness I have received throughout the process of becoming an artist. Without my selfless husband, family, friends, teachers, neighbors, collectors and Artsgoggle patrons, and the Fort Worth community in general, I would not be where I am today. I paint because it fills my soul with joy to express through color and shape and texture. I Paint because it’s how I connect with God, and how He got my attention 10 years ago when I could not have been further from believing there was anything worth living for beyond this life on earth. I Paint because I believe in the power of art to connect people, in ways that go beyond explanation. I paint because it helps me relax, unwind, and experiment as if I were a toddler, experiencing play for the first time. I paint for so many reasons, and I’m so excited to share this next chapter of my career, motherhood, and simply being a human whose trying their best to figure it all out one day at a time, with you. Thank you for engaging with these pieces of art, thank you for encouraging my creativity, and for being an irreplaceable part of the village that keeps this dream afloat. I feel so blessed, to get to do this life, covered in paint.
