About

Originally a student of art and music, my creative path led me into the world of technology. After studying music at NTSU (now the University of North Texas), I began developing business software in the 1980s and continued working in software development well into the 21st century. With the rise of the internet, web design introduced an entirely new creative canvas. As web applications evolved, design became inseparable from functionality, and graphic design emerged as a vital part of building meaningful user experiences. During this time, I began incorporating photography and visual art into my work, using them as tools to shape and enhance interactive, web-based solutions. After retiring from software development, I’ve come full circle—returning to my artistic roots. Today, my work blends photography, pen and ink, watercolor, and mixed media to create distinctive visual pieces that reflect both technical precision and creative exploration.

Artist Statement

I create portrait paintings that celebrate the uniqueness and quiet beauty of every individual. Each face carries its own story, its own aesthetic, and my goal is to honor that through my work. Much of my inspiration comes from my time at Taste Community Restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas—a pay-what-you-can nonprofit where people from all walks of life gather around a shared table. There, I’ve had the privilege of photographing individuals who come both to serve and to be served, capturing moments that reflect dignity, diversity, and connection. The restaurant itself has become an extension of my gallery. A selection of my portraits is displayed within the space, where guests may unexpectedly encounter their own likeness among the artwork. It creates a deeply personal and communal experience—one that reflects the heart of the place. Proceeds from the artwork support the mission of Taste Community Restaurant. For me, there is no greater gallery than one where art, community, and purpose intersect.
