My name is Alicia Benavidez, and I grew up in Fremont, California, with a passion for fashion from an early age. At 24, I returned to college to attend FIDM, where I earned my degree in Merchandising and Product Development. Since then, I’ve gained experience across the fashion industry from working on site at photoshoots for Good American, styling runway shows, to handling technical design for theatre productions. I spent five years as a fashion designer, including time with ARIAT, honing my skills and developing my unique creative voice. My lifelong dream has always been to open my own boutique, a space where I could bring my designs to life from bags and jewelry to clothing and everything in between. In June 2025, I moved to Texas and have been slowly building my brand ever since, turning a dream into a growing reality.

Artist Statement

Cebolla began as a creative outlet fueled by my love of crafting and making. After losing my sense of smell in my teens, I developed a fondness for onions, and when it came time to name my brand, nearly everyone close to me suggested “something with an onion.” And so, Cebolla was born. Like an onion, life has many layers, and creativity has always been my way of navigating them. What started as a hobby has now grown into a business, allowing me to share my passion for making with others and to create pieces that inspire individuality and self-expression.
