Artist Statement
Joel and Nicki are the husband-and-wife artists behind The Sticki Streets Designs, a Fort Worth-based creative brand specializing in custom embroidered hats, hand-burned pyrography, leather patchwork, and heirloom crochet art. Their work blends modern handmade design with Texas character, creating wearable and functional pieces that feel personal, artistic, and built to last.
Joel leads the embroidery and customization side of the business, designing bold, texture-driven pieces inspired by vintage Americana, typography, and the creative culture of Fort Worth. Nicki specializes in pyrography and heirloom crochet work, crafting hand-burned designs and fiber art pieces that celebrate traditional craftsmanship through a modern artistic lens.
Together, they create interactive artistic experiences through their live hat bar, where guests customize hats in real time using embroidery, branding, leather patches, and hand-finished details. Their work focuses on transforming everyday wearable items into one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story and reflect the individuality of the person wearing them.
