About

As a kid, I got in trouble for doodling on my bedsheets, my walls, my legs. In high school and college, I made extra cash decorating classmates' book covers, jeans, and shoes. For as long as I can remember, I've collected lyrics and quotes that resonated with me. Today, these things have all come together as a form of self-care. Creating is good for my body, heart, and spirit. If other people find joy through my pieces, well... "to love what you do and feel that it matters, how could anything be more fun?"

Artist Statement

I create work at the intersection of language and image, blending paper, canvas, and found objects with quotes, lyrics, and collage. I am drawn to the emotional weight of language - the way a single phrase can hold memory, identity, longing, resistance, humor, or hope. Hand lettering allows me to give emotion a physical form; each mark carries movement, imperfection, and intention. I use typography and collage to reimagine everyday materials. Vintage globes, maps, guitars, and other reclaimed objects become canvases layered with words and imagery, the contrast and tension creating dialogue between both personal and collective history. I am interested in the stories objects already hold and how language can reshape or deepen those narratives. My process is intuitive and expressive. I collect fragments from conversations, music, literature, signage, and everyday life, then reassemble them into compositions that feel both reflective and alive. Much of my work explores connection between people, memory and meaning, between what is spoken aloud and what is left unsaid. By layering words with imagery and design, I invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and find pieces of their own stories within the work.
